Initial Remodeling Consultation

At SkyWest we like to schedule an initial meeting with the Client to establish the lines of communication within the Builder/Client/Architect team.

We level with you early on about your budget, rather than using the "foot in the door" low price, only to increase the cost later. During the bidding process, we thoroughly examine the costs and issues to arrive at an accurate budget upfront.

At contract, a realistic construction timeline is given. We will help you fully understand the timeline and note variables that may impact the finish date. Our detailed contract makes it easy to follow what you'll get, when you'll get it, and when incremental payments are due.

SkyWest Builders carries $1 Million General Liability and Builder's Risk Insurance on all projects, and structural warranty is also provided when applicable. We have over 40 years of experience in remodeling and home construction and have discovered that our subcontractors define the success of our remodeling and home building projects. Our dedication to reliable results and customer satisfaction have led us to only use high quality subcontractors.

Design / Plans

Do you have plans? We can, of course, build from them and provide expert on-site insight to tweak framing, plumbing, electrical, and A/C elements to accomplish a great building.

Do you need plans? If so, we can recommend an Architect or Building Designer to develop the plans. In our 31 years in Austin we have developed many great working relationships with design professionals. We understand the process and can provide great assistance during the design phase through being the "Builder on Board."

Budget / Construction

With the plans complete, we can provide an accurate budget before moving on to the contract. The plans, contract, specifications, and timeline provide the solid documentation needed to give complete peace of mind during the construction process. As we push the schedule along, we carefully implement the client’s specifications and complete the design while keeping the overall style of the renovation or new home in mind.


SkyWest Builders prioritizes clear and constant communication, to avoid confusion and to keep every client in the loop through every step of the way. We offer the option for weekly meetings, although we typically keep our clients updated throughout the week. Giving our client’s complete confidence and peace of mind during the project is our top priority.

Project Manager

Each project has a Manager who cares for the property, addresses concerns from neighbors, handles scheduling, and checks the work details to relieve each client’s stress during construction. Paying attention to these daily concerns is paramount to building a great project and to complete the project with a developed Client/Builder relationship.
